On the surface, you can grab a few units with a Hand Drill, but for any real production you'll want to build a Sulfur Pump adjacent to the vent. It's a simple, single-input machine that feeds Sulfur directly into your belt network.

The processing chain is straightforward but multi-step. Blend Sulfur with Water in a Blender to get Sulfuric Acid. Then blend Sulfuric Acid with Limestone to produce Fertilizer.
