In the world of Satisfactory, the player arrives on Planet 3 as a FICSIT engineer tasked with rebuilding and expanding industrial infrastructure to satisfy an ever-climbing Satisfaction metric. The planet's resources are abundant but undifferentiated: a single mining drill might spew out iron ore, copper, and coal in an undistinguished pile.
